TLC Application Process

Greetings from TLC Admissions Committee!

While we are hard at work developing incredible young minds, we are also on the lookout for our next White Tiger. We are excited about the growth of our students and remain hopeful for next fall's group. Fayette County Public Schools has blessed TLC with the ability to work with such wonderful teens and their families.

Applications timeline

August through December: Home school identification/initial consideration for potential TLC students and TLC observations, communications, and meetings to review home school programs that have supported the student applicant.

Our typical new year admission deadlines:

March 1: Deadline to rank and submit the completed student applications with all requested documents to TLC

Mid March: TLC committee review of all applications submitted by the home schools; incomplete applications may be scored poorly.

Mid April: TLC student selections are announced to the home schools, then the home school guidance counselors contact the accepted students' families to verify their placement acceptance. 

Early June: Letters of acceptance go out to families of the selected students. TLC generates a list of students who did not make the initial cutoff. Families are notified by their home school.
